Abstract
A chair has a supporting frame, a seat portion, a back portionthat has an upper end, a lower end, and is pivotally mounted relative to the supporting frame at a position above its lower end, and a recline mechanism. The recline mechanismlifts the seat portionupon a reclining action of the back portion, and has an operative connectionbetween the seat portion and the supporting frame and a drag linkpivotally connected to the seat portionand pivotally connected to the back portionat a position below the pivotal mounting of the back portion relative to the supporting frame. As the back portionof the chair is reclined, the lower end of the back portionmoves forward and the drag linkpulls the seat portionupward relative to the supporting frame
