Abstract

The disclosure generally describes methods, software, and systems, including a method for using templates to generate data bindings for application code. A request is identified to instantiate an application based on a pre-defined template that is associated with an input data model that includes at least one reference to a design time data binding configuration model. A service, an associated service, and an associated data source are identified to be bound with the application. A parameter in the input data model is identified. Entry point data bindings for the data source are identified. A selection field is populated within a user interface using values within the data source corresponding to the entry points. A second selection field within the user interface is populated based on the selection from the first selection field. The second selection field is associated with at least one parameter in the input data model.
