Abstract
A brake device () includes a service brake valve () that produces an actuation-dependent pressure at a service brake valve outlet () when an operating means () is actuated. The brake device () includes a brake actuator () with a brake actuator inlet (). The service brake valve outlet () is connected to the brake actuator inlet () via a pressure connection (). The pressure connection () includes a directional control valve () and a check valve (). The check valve () is bypassed in a first valve position of the directional control valve () to allow a fluid flow from the brake actuator inlet () to the service brake valve outlet () and a fluid flow through the check valve () from the brake actuator inlet () to the service brake valve outlet () is largely prevented in a second valve position of the directional control valve ().
