Abstract
The cutting tool (), especially drill or milling cutter, comprises a base () which extends in an axial direction () and has an outer shell () with at least one interior recess () that extends in the axial direction (), a supporting structure () having at least one separating piece () which separates a plurality of recesses () from each other being formed in the supporting structure. The cutting tool () is particularly a solid hard-metal tool. The supporting structure () ensures an efficient use of material.
