Abstract

A device () for displaying panoramic images includes an image sensor (), a panoramic display module () and a display (). The display () displays an annular panorama view (). The annular view () may be an incomplete annulus for illustrating a missing view angle () from an incomplete panoramic image. The display () further includes a window () and a high resolution display portion (). The window () bounds a portion () of the annular view (). The high resolution display portion () displays a high resolution image corresponding to the portion () of the annular view (). The window () is movable around the annular view (). A size of the window () or the high resolution display portion () is adjustable. A method for generating a panoramic image is also provided.
