Abstract
The present invention relates to an amorphous form of linagliptin and processes for the preparation thereof. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an amorphous form of linagliptin and use of the composition for treatment of diabetes especially type-I or type-II, prediabetes or reduction of glucose tolerance.
