Abstract
A method for controlling playback of video data on a first device () by a second device () is disclosed, which includes, at the level of the second device, presenting an image corresponding to a section of the video data; and in response to a change of the presentation status of the image, transmitting a command to the first device to adapt the playback status of the section of video data on the first device as a function of the change of the presentation status of the image.
