Abstract
An entry insertion apparatus () inserts an entry into a node () having a plurality of partial areas () in which W (W being a positive integer equal to or greater than 2) or less entries are stored. Each entry can be searched for using an SIMD instruction to execute the same processing for the W entries in parallel. The entry insertion apparatus () includes an insertion unit () that inserts a new entry into the partial area () in which the number of stored entries is 1 or more and less than W among the plurality of partial areas (), and a sorting unit () that sorts the entries stored in the partial area () when the number of entries stored in the partial area () into which the new entry has been inserted is W.
