Abstract

A recording apparatus includes a controller configured to: decrease the number of recording pages which is stored in a storage in response to completion of recording on a recording medium on a page-by-page basis; increase the number of recording pages in response to an increase in an amount of image data in the storage; determine whether the number of recording pages is greater than or equal to a first number; control a drive source and a recording device to convey the recording medium at a first speed and perform recording when the number of recording pages is less than the first number; and control the drive source and the recording device to convey the recording medium at a second speed greater than the first speed and perform the recording when the number of recording pages is greater than or equal to the first number.
