Abstract
A speed reducer () of a reduction motor () includes a first internal gear () attached to the housing, an input shaft () having an eccentric shaft portion (), a first external gear () having a pitch circle diameter smaller than a pitch circle diameter of the first internal gear (), and an output member () connected to the first external gear (). The input shaft () is configured to be rotated by a rotation input from the electric motor (). The first external gear () is configured to be placed inside of the first internal gear () under a state that a part of an external teeth () of the first external gear () engages with an internal teeth () of the first internal gear (). A holding member () fixes the first internal gear () in the axial direction of the input shaft ().
