Abstract

The invention relates to an air-based flyer apparatus () for preparing food. The apparatus comprises a food preparation chamber (), a food basket () placed in said food preparation chamber (), a system () for circulating an upward flow of hot air inside said food basket (), a heating element () placed above said food basket () to generate said hot air, a lid () placed below the heating element for covering the food basket. The lid () comprises a first part (P) being air-permeable, and a second part (P) facing said heating element () being air-impermeable. The invention allows reducing fumes generated by an air-based flyer during cooking process.
