Abstract

Provided are: a main memorythat stores image data, a peripheral regionbeing set to a certain value; and a CPUthat performs tonal steps conversion processing on the image data. The CPUincludes: a plurality of coresthat have a parallel processing function due to a plurality of threadsand that execute the tonal steps conversion processing in parallel; and a data cache memoryand program cache memorythat are provided corresponding to each of the plurality of threads. The corespecifies a region smaller than a size of the data cache memory, of the image data as an operand region, and causes the image data corresponding to said operand regionto be acquired from the main memoryinto the data cache memoryand executes the tonal steps conversion processing on said operand regionwithout distinction of a central regionand the peripheral region
