Abstract

A network system and a method are disclosed for accessing functionalities or medical data within the framework of a diagnostic findings process. An on-premises server farm, a data center and a plurality of mobile terminal devices are provided for that purpose. The on-premises system is connected to the data center via a local network connection. The mobile network devices are connected to the data center via a mobile communications connection. The data center is a virtualization of the local on-premises server farm. The mobile communications connection to the data exchange is activated as soon as the mobile device leaves the transmit and/or receive range of the respective hospital (off-premises).
