Abstract

The present invention relates to methods and kits for detecting active tuberculosis infection in a subject using serological techniques and a first agent capable of binding an IgG, IgA and/or IgM directed to the first protein present in or on amembrane vesicle or aCalmette-Guerin (BCG) membrane vesicle. Also provided are methods of treating a subject with an active tuberculosis disease.
