Abstract

The invention relates to a bearing assembly having a back-up bearing (), which has an outer ring () arranged in a housing construction () in a flexible manner. The flexibility has angle-dependent extreme values, namely at least one minimum and at least one maximum. According to the invention, this bearing assembly is characterized in that, within 360° with respect to the circumference of the outer ring (), there are more than two angles at which there is at least one local extreme value of the flexibility of the outer ring ().
