Abstract

A dispensing pump () for liquids, viscous materials, foams, gels, etc. includes a resilient cup spring () so that the entire pump can be more easily recycled. The dispensing pump () includes a base portion (), an inlet valve (), a piston valve (), a cup spring (), a spring guide structure () and a pump actuator (). When actuated, the cup spring () is elastically deformed over opposing spring ribs (), and then upon release, the cup () elastically returns to its normal at rest shape, returning the guide () and pump actuator () to their normal at rest positions. The cup spring () includes structures which interact with the piston valve () to open the outlet valve.
