Abstract
An avatar displaying system capable of selectively sharing user posture information from a first terminal to a second terminal. The first terminal includes a user posture detecting unit configured to detect user posture information. The first terminal further includes a sharing permission/prohibition determining unit configured to determine whether or not to share the user posture information of the first user with the second user. The first terminal further includes a transmission unit configured to transmit the user posture information of the first user to the second terminal in response to a determination to share the user posture information of the first user with the second user. A second terminal includes an image generating unit configured to generate the avatar image representing the first user based on the user posture information of the first user. The second terminal further includes a display unit configured to display the avatar image.
