Abstract
A vehicle radar system (″) and method which including a microcontroller unit (), MCU, and a plurality of Analog to Digital Converters (), (ADCs), arranged to convert the received signals to a digital form and to transfer the converted digital signals to a first and second Digital Signal Processor (DSP) (), DSP. The MCU () is arranged to control the DSPs () such that for one time frame (n), the first DSP () functions as a Master DSP and the second DSP () functions as a Slave DSP, and such that for the next time frame (n+1), the first DSP () is configured to function as a Slave DSP and the second DSP () functions as a Master DSP. The MCU compares the raw target data from the first and second DSPs () to determine a degree of functionality for the DSPs ().
