Display of a drive assist by a virtual image is understandably presented to a driver. A drive assist device, which displays a virtual imageincluding a vehicle markon a vehicleand assists driving by moving the vehicle mark, is configured to be provided with a relative-value converting unitwhich converts a recommended driving operation to be shown to a driverto a relative value based on a driving operation of present time; wherein the vehicle markis moved by a movement amount corresponding to the relative value to notify the driverof the recommended driving operation.
