Abstract
A second tape feeding mechanismB is permitted to idly rotate only in a first rotating direction and has a biasing mechanismwhich biases a carrier tapeagainst a sprocketB so that the carrier tapeis brought into engagement with the sprocketB. With a preceding tape() kept in engagement with the sprocketB, a leading end portion of a following tape() is inserted between the sprocketB and the preceding tape(), and the preceding tape() is biased by the biasing meansso that the following tape() is brought into engagement with the sprocketB.
