Abstract
The invention relates to a method for converting (S) an image () by an evaluation unit () of a motor vehicle (), wherein the image () is captured from an environmental region () of a motor vehicle () by a camera () of the motor vehicle (), and the image () includes an alpha channel () and at least one color channel in a predetermined color model, and the image () is converted into an alpha channel () and a Y channel () of a YUV color model and a U channel () of the YUV color model and a V channel () of the YUV color model, wherein in converting the image (), the alpha channel () and the Y channel () and the U channel () and the V channel () are embedded in a converted image () of the image ().
