According to an embodiment, a module Mincludes an internal circuit, and a standard information transmitting unitthat transmits a result of a comparison between a voltage supplied from an externally-disposed control deviceand a threshold voltage specified based on a communication standard of the internal circuitto the control deviceas information on the communication standard of the internal circuit. As a result, the module Mcan communicate with the control deviceaccording to a correct communication standard.
