Abstract

The oil control ring () extends in a circumferential direction () about a center () and has a longitudinal axis () that passes through the center (), wherein the oil control ring () has an end face () that faces the center (), and wherein the oil control ring () has a first lateral surface (), a second lateral surface (), and an outer surface () facing away from the center (), wherein the oil control ring () has a plurality of channels () extending toward the center () on the first lateral surface (), said channels being arranged at mutual distances in the circumferential direction () and extending over the entire width of the first lateral surface () in the radial direction and thereby forming a fluid-conducting connection between the end face () and the outer surface (), and wherein crown parts () extending in the circumferential direction () are arranged between pairs of channels (), wherein each crown part () protrudes beyond the respective channel () in the direction of extent of the longitudinal axis () and forms a lateral channel surface () for the channel (), wherein at least one of the crown parts () is designed as a long crown part () and extends over an angular range (α) between 60 degrees and 350 degrees in the circumferential direction (). 212×2121.
