Abstract
An image recording method including the steps of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium and applying an ink containing a pigment to the recording medium so as to overlap at least with a part of a region of the recording medium to which the liquid composition is applied. The water absorption amount of the recording medium at a contact time of 1 second according to the Bristow's method is 15 ml/mor less. The ink contains a compound having a polyoxyalkylene unit. The liquid composition contains a tannin compound.
