Abstract

A hybrid gun device composed of two barrels () that accept energy from combustion of standard propellant (), one barrel () being operative to produce a high intensity electric current to add accelerating energy to a projectile () in the second barrel () and at least one coil () stage to convert energy between electrical and kinetic to cause the projectile () to be launched at hypervelocity.
