Abstract
A Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process () includes feeding gaseous reactants () including at least CO, Hand COinto a reactor () holding an iron-based catalyst. The Hand CO are fed in a H:CO molar ratio of at least 2:1 and the COand CO are fed in a CO:CO molar ratio of at least 0.5:1. The reactor () is controlled at an operating temperature in the range from about 260° C. to about 300° C. A liquid product () and a gaseous product () including hydrocarbons, CO, H, water and COare withdrawn from the reactor ().
