Abstract

The present invention provides a method to prepare polysaccharides from. The prepared polysaccharides can reduce liver size, weight and the number and size of liver lipid vacuoles, as well as serum triglycerides and serum aspartate aminotransferase levels in humans and animals. The prepared polysaccharides can therefore be used to prevent and treat fatty liver disease.
