Abstract
A pyrotechnical igniter () for an inflator of a vehicle safety system comprises at least two contact pins () physically separated from each other by an electrically insulating compound and a bridge wire () connected to both contact pins () in an electrically conducting manner. A fastening portion () in which the bridge wire () is welded to the contact pins () is provided at each of the contact pins ().
