Abstract
Provided is a powder for a magnetic core (), including a soft magnetic metal powder (); and an insulating coating film () covering a surface of the soft magnetic metal powder (), in which the insulating coating film () is formed of an aggregate of crystals () obtained by cleaving a layered oxide. The crystals () are obtained by, for example, cleaving a swellable smectite-group mineral, which is one kind of swellable layered clay mineral as the layered oxide.
