Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a low cost sintering process for the preparation of gadolinium oxysulfide having a general formula of GdOS, referred to as GOS, scintillation ceramics, comprising uniaxial hot pressing primary sintering and hot isostatic pressing secondary sintering.
