Abstract

A scroll compressor of the present invention includes a partition plate, a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll, a rotation-restraining member, a main bearing, a bearing-side concave portion, a scroll-side concave portionand a columnar member. A lower end of the columnar memberis inserted into the bearing-side concave portion, and an upper end of the columnar member is inserted into the scroll-side concave portion. The columnar memberslides with at least one of the bearing-side concave portionand the scroll-side concave portion, thereby moving the fixed scrollin an axial direction between the partition plateand the main bearing. A high pressure is applied to a discharge spaceH, thereby pressing the fixed scrollagainst the orbiting scroll
