Abstract
A glass composition of the present invention includes, in mol %, 66 to 72% SiO, 1 to 4% AlO, 8 to 15% MgO, 1 to 8% CaO, 12 to 16% NaO, and 0 to 1% KO. A total content of MgO and CaO is in a range of 12 to 17%, and a molar ratio of CaO to the total content of MgO and CaO is in a range of 0.1 to 0.4. The glass composition of the present invention is suitable for production by the float process, and is suitable for chemical strengthening.
