Abstract
There are instances of vehicular lighting in prior art where a significant amount of effectively distributed light radiating from a projection lens is lost. The invention is provided with a semiconductor-type light source () and a projection lens (). The projection lens () has an optically active portion () transmitting light from the semiconductor-type light source (), and an optically inactive portion (). The optically inactive portion () of the projection lens () is provided with a trimmed portion (U,D) resulting from cutting away a portion of a base shape. As a result, the invention allows the amount of loss in the effectively distributed light radiating from the projection lens () to be as small as possible.
