Abstract
The present invention discloses a novel use of a lanostane having the following formula (I) in enhancing uptake of nutrients: wherein Ris either H or CH; Ris OCOCH, ═O or OH; Ris H or OH; Ris —C(═CH)—C(CH)R, in which Ris H or OH, or —CH═C(CH)—R, in which Ris CHor CHOH; Ris H or OH; and Ris CHor CHOH.
