Abstract

A method of operating a binaural hearing aid system () comprises an auxiliary device, wherein the hearing aids and the auxiliary device are wirelessly connected in a wireless network and wherein the power consumption is significantly reduced by having one hearing aid assuming the role of a passive slave in the wireless network.
