Abstract
A method of forming a flapper assembly () for a throttle valve () is provided. The method includes steps of forming a flapper () comprised of hub () having an opening () and at least one vane () coupled to the hub (), disposing a shaft () in the opening (), and pressing a punch (P) into an outer surface () of the hub () such that a torque dimple () extends from the hub () into the shaft () to fasten the flapper () to the shaft ().
