Abstract

The positioning device includes: a GPS processing unit configured to receive a signal from a GPS satellite and measure a position where the positioning device is located; a data storage unit configured to register a planned positioning point where a position is measured; and a GPS control unit configured to control timing to start up the GPS processing unit such that the GPS processing unit be ready in time for measurement at the registered planned positioning point.
