Abstract
An electrically operable motor vehicle door lock () has a locking mechanism including at least one locking element () and/or actuating element, a motor () which acts on the locking element () and/or actuating element, and an emergency energy source () for emergency operation of the motor () in the event of failure of a main energy source (). A switching element () actuated by the main energy source () is provided. The switching element () connects the emergency energy source () to the motor () electrically in the event of failure of the main energy source () to and provide for the emergency operation.
