Abstract
A sealed compressor of the present invention comprises an electric component (); a compression component (); a sealed container (); and a suction pipe (); wherein the compression component () includes a compression chamber (), and a suction muffler () through which a refrigerant gas flows; wherein the suction muffler () includes a muffler body () in which a muffling space () is formed, a tail pipe () through which a refrigerant gas is introduced into the muffling space (); and a muffler cover () provided to surround the muffler body () such that a first space () is formed between the muffler cover () and the muffler body (); wherein the muffler cover () is provided with a refrigerant inlet () in a portion which faces an outlet () of the suction pipe () and is in the vicinity of a suction port () of a tail pipe (), the refrigerant inlet communicating the interior of the sealed container () with the first space ().
