Abstract
A valve timing control device of internal combustion engine comprises a chain casethat is fixed to a cylinder headof the engine and has a circular openingfor receiving therein a cylindrical housingof an electric motor, an annular seal memberthat is operatively received in an annular clearance defined between an outer cylindrical wall of the cylindrical housingand an inner cylindrical wall of the circular opening, and a cover memberthat is connected to the chain caseto cover the circular opening thereby concealing the annular seal member from the outside, wherein when the cover memberis removed from the chain case, the annular seal memberbecomes exposed to the outside through the circular openingof the chain casefor a visual inspection of the annular seal member.
