Abstract
A battery housing part () for a traction battery has opposite first and second vertically aligned housing walls () for laterally covering battery cells, a second housing wall () from a floor level () to a cover level () and horizontally from a left side level () to a right side level (). At least one reinforcement profile () is connected to the first housing wall () and the second housing wall () for at least partial dissipation of impact forces in the case of a crash of the motor vehicle. The reinforcement profile () is spaced apart both from the floor level () and the cover level () and from the left side level () and the right side level ().
