Abstract
A subscriber interface unit () can be installed by attaching a storage spool () to a wall using a fastener (); deploying a pre-wound cable () from the storage spool () by turning the storage spool () about the fastener (); and mounting the subscriber interface unit () on the storage spool (). The storage spool () includes a drum portion () having a side wall () and a rear end wall (). The rear end wall () defines a fastener opening () aligned with an axis of rotation of the spool (). A flange portion () is coupled to a front end () of the drum portion (). The spool () can define a slot () having a radial portion (A) that extends though the flange portion () and an axial portion (B) that extends through the side wall () of the drum portion ().
