Abstract

Provided is an electronic device including a contact detection unitconfigured to detect a contact made by a contacting object, a pressure detection unitconfigured to detect pressure applied to the contact detection unit, and a control unitconfigured to perform control so that predetermined processing is carried out when data based on the pressure detected by the pressure detection unitsatisfies a predetermined standard. When the contact detection unitdetects another contact within a predetermined time period after the predetermined processing has been carried out, the control unitperforms control so that the predetermined processing is carried out when the data based on the pressure satisfies a lower standard than the predetermined standard.
