Abstract
A fire detection apparatusincluding a wind ascertainment deviceand an evaluation device, and connectable to at least one monitoring camerafor recording image data of a monitoring region. The evaluation deviceincludes a control unit, configured for evaluation of wind parameters provided by the wind ascertainment device. The evaluation deviceincludes an image processing unitconfigured to evaluate at least one fire detection feature from the image data transmitted from the monitoring camera, wherein the control unitswitches the image processing unitto different fire detection operation modes in dependence on the wind parameters.
