Abstract
A storage unit () has a storage box () and a base frame () which is removably mounted to the storage box. A hinge () is provided to a hinge mounting section () of the base frame () and supports a lid () so that the lid can be opened and closed. The hinge () is composed of two inner arms () and outer arms (). A rotation shaft of the hinge is guarded by the inner arms () and outer arms (), so that objects and fingers are prevented from being caught.
