Abstract
A steering apparatus has a guide member () being received in a guide groove () and attached to an inner column (), metal fittings that have conductivity, is in contact with the inner column to attach the guide member to the inner column, and an electricity-carrying plate () that is composed of a metal plate material having conductivity, is fixed to the inner column in contact with the metal fittings, and elastically deforms and in contact with an inside of a pair of guide walls at a predetermined contact pressure, so that a new electricity-carrying passage from a steering wheel to a vehicle body is secured.
