Abstract
The monitoring of complex or spacious buildings or spaces requires a multiplicity of monitoring devices, for example monitoring cameras, in order to be able to extensively cover such monitoring areas. For this purpose, the invention proposes a terminalhaving at least one functional device, wherein the functional device is in the form of a sensor and/or actuator device, having a control device, wherein the control deviceis in the form of a digital data processing device, and having at least one network interface, wherein the network interfaceis designed to couple the control deviceto a network, with the result that data can be transmitted from the functional device to the networkand/or data can be transmitted from the networkto the functional device. The terminalhas a client address from a first networkas the network, and the terminalhas a storage devicewhich stores a server address from a different network. The control deviceis designed to send a message to the server address via the network interfaceupon initialization of the terminal
