Abstract
A bright pigment of the present invention is a bright pigment including flaky particles and a metal oxide layer covering each surface of the flaky particles. The bright pigment has a particle diameter corresponding to a 90% volume-cumulative particle diameter from a small particle diameter side, in a particle size distribution, of 55 μm or less. The flaky particles are formed of a material having a refractive index of 1.4 to 1.8. The flaky particles have an average thickness of 0.35 to 0.55 μm and substantially do not contain flaky particles having a thickness of 0.15 μm or less.
