Abstract
A semiconductive roller () is formed from a semiconductive rubber composition which contains a rubber component including 15 to 80 mass % of an epichlorohydrin rubber, and has an oxide film () formed in its outer peripheral surface (). The arithmetic average roughness Ra of the outer peripheral surface is 1.0 to 3.5 μm, and the ratio S/Sof a measured surface area S per unit area of the outer peripheral surface to a theoretical surface area Sper unit area of the outer peripheral surface determined assuming that the outer peripheral surface is a smooth surface is 2.0 to 5.0.
