Abstract
Provided is a process for making (2-nitro)alkyl (meth)acrylate compounds of formula I: wherein n, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, and n are as defined herein, by a transesterification reaction between a nitroalcohol compound and a (meth)acrylate compound in the presence of a transesterification catalyst and a free radical inhibitor.
